PLANT SALE!
Each May, our annual fundraiser is held at the Groton Public Library. Members dig, divide, repot, and identify plants and shrubs from their gardens for sale to the community. In addition, we have heirloom tomatoes and a selection of annual available for sale.
The proceeds of the sale support two or more scholarships to local high school seniors headed for a university, college, trade or certificate program. The scholarship is issued based on an interest in horticulture and related fields.
We Grow Gardeners!
We award scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in Horticulture, landscape design, environmental scieince, water scieince, agriculture, aquaculture or related fields.
Our annual Mothers' Day Plant Sale directly funds these awards.
Holiday Wreaths!
The club crafts and donated wreaths, basket of decorative greens and arrangements to Municipal buildings, schools, libraries and historic buildings in Mustic, Stonington and Groton during the start of the holiday season.
